Tommy Carnebo has worked as a professional fire fighter for over 20 years in Stockholm, Sweden. His specialty at the fire brigade was the challenges with fire and safety regarding lithium-ion batteries. At Dafo Vehicle, he has worked with OEMs, insurance companies, authorities and mining companies worldwide. Since the summer of 2023, he has worked as an adviser to European Union regarding battery-electric vehicles. This has led to the development of a training program and lectures for mining companies looking at the different challenges associated with deploying BEVs. So far, this has led to engagements with Boliden, LKAB, Epiroc and Volvo.
