Tommi Valkonen is Strategy Manager, Electrification, at Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions. His mission is to help accelerate the decarbonisation of mining by driving strategic projects around electric drivelines, BEVs, batteries and charging; analysing the global battery value chain and its effects on Sandvik's business; and providing thought leadership to top management on strategic questions relating to electrification in mining. Prior to Sandvik, he worked as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company, primarily serving customers in the mining and construction industries.
