Tomas Nass is the Decarbonization Manager for the mining group Antofagasta Minerals. He graduated as an Industrial Engineer and possesses a Masters in Asset Management. Since then, he gained over 12 years of experience in the mining business, supply and generation of strategic collaboration agreements. Since November 2021, he has been with the Antofagasta Minerals team. His first role was as Deputy Mine Supply Manager, before, in July 2023, taking on the opportunity to lead the mining group’s decarbonisation program. Together with the support of the Antofagasta Minerals leadership team, Tomas works on developing a decarbonisation plan supported by collaborative work with key suppliers that allows progress in the development of safe and “green” mining. Antofagasta Minerals decided to strengthen its decarbonisation efforts, creating a new team in their innovation vice-presidency, focused on the development of a plan that will ensure and potentially accelerate the transition to low-emission technologies.
