Mark Ryan’s journey in underground equipment manufacturing began in 2003 when he joined Sandvik. Over the next 15 years, he immersed himself in a diverse array of technological development projects. From testing the first fully CANBUS-controlled loader in Zambia to pioneering fully autonomous AutoMine loaders for block cave mines in Australia. During his time at Sandvik, Mark held various positions, ranging from Service Engineer to Product Line Manager. Six years ago, Mark seized an exciting opportunity to join Normet. At Normet, he continued to shape the industry landscape by contributing to the development of cutting-edge technologies. Notably, Mark played a key role in advancing Normet’s XL1100 Electrodynamic platform and SmartDrive BEV offering. Throughout his career, Mark has held significant leadership positions, including Vice President of R&D and Vice President of Equipment Offering.
