Since 2021, Dr Fabiana Cavalcante has been leading the Mobile e-Power business of ABB’s Traction division. Her business is dedicated to the supply of complete onboard electric systems (drives, motors, batteries, on-board chargers) and solutions for mining vehicles, construction vehicles, electric buses and other dedicated electrically driven vehicles. Throughout her extensive career with ABB, she has held several other managerial roles in R&D, Product Management and Sales. Fabiana also spent some time with the Swiss Federal Office of Transport where she led the Approval and Rules Section. She also has broad experience in the field of standards and regulations, and since 2008 has served as an international standardisation expert for IEC and CENELEC. She holds a PhD in Power Electronics from ETH Zurich, Switzerland.
