Dr Max Ong is the Principal Projects Officer for Technology at Byrnecut Mining, specialising in electrification and other new innovations across energy and intelligent automation. Prior to this, Max led the Innovation & Technology division at Murray Engineering as Manager and Chief Engineer across multiple projects including design & manufacture of ruggedised battery technologies, battery-electric vehicles and EV ultrafast-charging solutions for underground mining. His previous roles included aerospace R&D for Rolls-Royce plc, Airbus and BAE in the UK; autonomous naval drones with Liquid Robotics in Silicon Valley USA; and deep underwater submarine drones with Kongsberg Maritime across USA, Norway and Australia.
