Andrew has over 20 years of experience within the mining industry in Australia and Canada, across multiple commodities. Commencing his career in Mount Isa Mines as a Graduate Mining Engineer, he has progressed through the mining industry with an operational focus on improving the businesses within which he works. Andrew has gained a broad range of experience in mining method and equipment types from narrow-vein gold mines utilising antiquated equipment that is ventilation-constrained by diesel exhaust emissions, to large open stope operations with both conventional diesel and battery-electric fleets. Working strategically with MMG, Andrew brings a practical perspective on the path towards electric mining that enables the team to drive innovation and improve the conditions the workforce is exposed to.
